Properties:A colorless and transparent liquid with characteristic odor of isobutyric acid.

Applications: MIBK is a good chemical intermediate and medium boiling point solvent for painting, nitrocellulose, ethylcellulose, paraffin, making magnetic or video tape and various kinds of natural or synthetic resin. It can also be used as a dewaxing agent for rare earth metals or tantalum-niobium salts as well as feedstocks of antioxidant, pesticide extraction agent etc.
